Almost exactly two years ago I was in Norway, seeing a couple of Kaizers Orchestra concerts. Support: Pétur Ben. I liked him! Not so much that I would have bought the CD, but the songs stuck in my head and he managed to get the crowd going. ... read on!

He he… I just (re-)discovered last.fm radio. When I last used it, you could play songs according to tags or musical styles, or put some songs on a playlist (which I never really figured out how to use). Now, you can play radio from your own “library” – thus songs that you have scrobbled before. ... read on!

Tja, und das war es dann auch schon wieder… =:-( Zwei Konzerte einer Tour sind eigentlich viel zu wenig – aber andererseits ist es irgendwie auch herrlich unstressig, und billiger sowieso. Und ich glaube, ich habe mir die richtigen zwei Konzerte ausgesucht! =:-D … weiterlesen!

Hmm… Irgendwie machen Kaizers in letzter Zeit immer wieder Dinge, die ich absolut nicht erwartet hätte. Sei es diese Studiotour, wo sie genau vier (und auch nicht mehr als vier, weil die vier reichen ja, völlig egal ob sie das Folken auch problemlos zweimal vollgekriegt hätten) Konzerte spielen, um die Albumkosten zu decken. Oder die Tatsache, dass sie urplötzlich auf dem Eurosonic spielten (heißt das, sie setzen wieder auf Europa? *gerüchtestreu*). Oder dass sie in den letzten Wochen neue (und meiner Meinung nach noch unausgereifte) Lieder auf ihrer Webseite gepostet haben, damit die das Publikum bei der Studiotour auch kennt. Oder dass sie am Tag des ersten Konzertes die Medien mit der Information füttern, dass sie als nächstes nicht EIN Album veröffentlichen werden, sondern gleich DREI – sorry übrigens dafür, dass die Info hier so spät (und unübersetzt) kam, aber hey, ich saß derweil internetlos in Kopenhagen am Flughafen… *gg* … weiterlesen!
Hmm … Somehow, Kaizers have been doing lots of things lateley that I didn’t expect at all. For example this “studio tour” with exactly four shows to cover the album costs (and not more than four shows, because the four are sufficient, even though they could have easily filled Folken twice). Or the fact that they suddenly announced playing at EuroSonic festival (does that mean they are targeting Europe again? *startingrumors*). Or that they have posted new (and in my opinion still somehow immature) songs on their website the last few weeks, so that the audience at the studio tour has a chance to listen to them beforehand. Or that they, on the day of the first concert, feed information to the media that they will not only publish ONE album in 2011, but THREE – sorry by the way that I didn’t manage to pass that information on earlier (and that I don’t really have the time to translate anything right now), but hey, at the time the news came out, I was stuck at Copenhagen Airport without internet… *gg* ... read on!

Hach…! Meine alljährlichen Busters-Konzerte musste ich dieses Jahr leicht zurückschrauben, da ich beim Karlsruhe-Konzert (das wohl wirklich letzte im “echten” Substage) noch in Mauritius war und beim Heidelberg-Konzert in Norwegen sein werde. Tübingen hab ich mir aber nicht entgehen lassen – zum Glück! … weiterlesen!

Dúné kenne ich, seit ich sie mal als Ärzte-Vorband vorgestellt hab. Da fand ich sie stinklangweilig. Aber man muss ja alles mal gesehen habe – und so stand ich beim Taubertal-Festival 2008 am Donnerstag Abend im strömenden Regen im Steinbruch… und war begeistert! Beim DÄ-Konzert am Chiemsee kurz darauf habe ich sie dann verpasst, weil das Konzert hinterhältigerweise zu früh anfing, und danach waren sie immer genau dann in der Nähe, wenn ich entweder in Norwegen oder beim DÄOF-Teamtreffen war. *grmbl* … weiterlesen!

Yep, I admit: I was a HUGE pro wrestling fan when I was a kid. I was watching everything (well, everything there was on German TV, which wasn’t a lot), I kept track of all storylines, I wrote down who fought whom at which show, hell, I actually learned English through the interviews (which were shown with subtitles at that time and not dubbed). ... read on!

2009 ist so gut wie vorbei, und damit wird es Zeit, auf die Konzerte des Jahres zurückzublicken! Das waren mal wieder einige… ich werde also sicher nicht jedes einzelne erwähnen, sondern nur nochmal die Highlights und “Lowlights” in Erinnerung rufen. Zum Glück deutlich mehr Highlights als Reinfälle! … weiterlesen!
